First Haircut!

Carsten has needed a haircut for awhile. At least according to Carl. But I really, really loved the way it stuck out in every direction. So I was avoiding it. But after the return of the helmet, his hair was sticking out from under it and starting to look pretty ridiculous, so I gave in.

I was still surprised though when Carl was giving Carsten a bath and called me in to show me this:

It turned out to be a pretty good idea. The bathtub is Carsten's favorite place in the whole world, so I think he hardly noticed the scissors most of the time. And really, it was more successful than Tyler's first hair cut. We took him in to a hair place and he wiggled and flailed around so much, and basically hung upside down off the chair, that the hair stylist actually cut his finger. Carsten walked away from his bath without any wounds so I'd say it was a success. :-)
