The Month of May

Just a few pictures of these three in May that made me smile. :-)

When you look up to your big brothers you let them do anything they want. Apparently.

When the artist saw her getting pictures he immediately ran and did it to himself too.

After my failed attempts at cleaning the marker off she went and put this on, which made it even better.

Just a normal shopping trip - with a fireman and a super hero and movie star.

A day at the zoo!

There were three calves there. This one was born on Tyler's birthday.

And this one was born on Aria's birthday!

A picnic at the park with Daddy!

The many different ways this girl falls asleep are so cute.

I love these three and all their crazy antics!

The Best News

As a family we have been praying for a long time for another baby and in April we found out that we are expecting the newest little Hagen in January! We are so thankful, and so excited to meet this little one. And it was blessing to watch our kids see this answered prayer.

In August we found out that this sweet baby is another boy!!

We could not be more excited to meet this little boy! The kids are pretty sure they get to name him. All three of them come put their faces right up next to the baby and tell him they love him and that his name is Pete the Cat. We can't wait to meet you baby boy! And I promise we won't name you Pete the Cat. :-)

Birthday Boy!

Well, I was almost caught up... and then we moved, so... I'm not anymore. A lot has happened in these last couple months, but I'll start with my sweet boy's fourth birthday.

At four years old, Carsten is a total animal lover. He wants to be an animal rescuer with his big brother. He is praying for a bunny. For the record, I (the one who never wants to have a pet, ever) actually suggested getting him one for his birthday. But it wasn't great timing, and we really didn't have a place for one. That is how much I love him though! He just melts my heart. He loves growing up. He is so proud of how strong he is and loves showing off all of his tricks. He also has some pretty sweet dance moves. :-)

His big day started with birthday streamers for a sleepy boy.

And breakfast "cupcakes!"

And he got to have a fun lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Hagen at a park.

That night our horse loving boy got to open the presents Papa Joe and Ronni sent. He loved these horses so much, but this sweet little guy immediately picked one for Tyler and one for Aria to "keep forever." He is such a sweet brother. :-)

Carsten chose a family day over a birthday party, so that weekend we went to the Science Museum!

They had so much fun there.

They even got to go to the Omni Theater, where Aria fit in her nap.

After we left we headed to Benihana for his birthday dinner.

Love him!

Then we came home for his celebration. :-)

Carsten wanted a Paw Patrol cake. He was very clear that he wanted Paw Patrol this year, and Super Heroes next year.

Blowing out candles! With the help of his little sister.

Carsten, we love you so much sweet boy. You are sweet and so much fun. You make us laugh constantly. And you love your brother and sister so much that you are quick to give up things you like to make them happy. Your heart is so big! You bring us more joy than you can even imagine. Happy Birthday Baby!
