You might think that after a very full and busy weekend, we would choose to relax on Sunday afternoon. But all of the children's volunteers at church were invited to an afternoon at the Water Park of America. How could we pass that up? So when I got home from the retreat we ate a quick lunch, got ready and headed over there. So much fun. It was absolutely worth it. The boys loved it!
Sometimes Tyler is a little apprehensive about swimming. Not this time. He was off and running right away. He went down slide, after slide, after slide with Carl. And they even stood under the huge water bucket.
Carsten on the other hand, has absolutely no water-related apprehension. He's crazy. This child chooses dangerous places to try every new skill. For example, pulling himself up to standing for the first time in the bathtub. And this was no exception. Why not try to walk for the first time in a swimming pool? He didn't actually do it, but he was so insistent on trying, and a little irritated with me for not letting him go. He kept squealing at me and trying to push my hands off of him. He also crawled all over the place, not even caring if it started to get too deep, and again, squealing and flailing at me when I would move him to shallower water. Seriously, he's crazy.
I just love these boys.
