It was a great weekend with great friends!
Then last weekend we went to Winona with Carl's brother and his family and a few of their cousins. We rented a beautiful house overlooking the river and had a wonderful, relaxing weekend.
The gorgeous view from the living room.
We have the biggest family, so we were the lucky ones who got the ridiculously huge master bedroom.
One small corner of the massive master bathroom.
Our bedroom - there was another whole room off of it that the boys slept in, a three season porch, and huge walk in closet too. And let's not forget the fireplace built into the mirror. We basically had our own little house inside the house.
Carsten had his own little cot, but they really wanted to share a bed. To be fair, his toddler cot looked pretty shrimpy next to this big one. I can see why he wanted to sleep up there.
My dream kitchen.
The boys loved this place. They ran circles around it the whole time. And Tyler keeps talking about "that new house we went to."
Matt and Janelle's baby is four weeks older than Aria, and Carl's cousin Isaac's baby is two weeks older than her, so it was really fun to see all three of them together.
Baby play date!
Kelsi, Oakley and Aria hanging out!
They didn't cooperate super well for the cousin pictures. :-)
A little sibling love.
Walking their puppies.
And feeding them...
On the way home we decided to stop at Lark Toys. It was a really fun little addition to our trip.
The boys had a great time playing there.
And they loved riding on the hand carved carousel!
They were the first ones on so they each got their first choice of animal. Carsten wouldn't ride without sitting on Carl's lap though. :-)
This weekend was exactly what we all needed. We were hanging out with other people, which was fun, and we also just got to relax. The boys had so much fun running around that house and playing on the deck. They also got to see multiple trains and boats go by, so they were pretty much in a constant state of excitement. :-)
