She had her four month appointment on Thursday and she was 13 lbs. 6 oz. (30th percentile) and 25 inches (77th percentile).
On Saturday Aria started rolling over, and yesterday she started to really get into playing in her play gym. Before she would lay there and occasionally play a little bit. But now she is kicking and flailing her little arms and having so much fun with it. I love watching that. :-) Aria loves to chew on blankets and a couple of her little toys. She is constantly pulling her dresses up to chew on them too. She gives great big wet kisses and she is starting to laugh a little bit.
Yesterday I pulled this out for her. It's hard to tell who was more excited. :-)
Her brothers adore her more than I ever dreamed they would. It melts my heart to watch them with her. Carl and I will definitely have the help of two very protective older brothers as she grows up!
When we were at her doctor's appointment she was being her smiley and sweet little self and her doctor said she wanted to take her home with her. Tyler flew off of his chair and ran across the room saying, "No!! I love her too much. You can't take her home." Of course she quickly told him she wouldn't really take Aria home. And he told her she couldn't because he loves Aria, he loves Carsten, he loves Mommy and Daddy and he wants us all at home. And Carsten joined right in, saying, "Mommy home, Daddy home, Ty-Ty home, Ee-ya home."
Tyler is constantly singing to Aria, telling her about Jesus and giving her hugs and kisses. He loves to snuggle up next to her and just talk with her.
Carsten is her little encourager. He cheers for her when she does new things. When she was trying to roll over the first couple of times, he sat next to her saying, "Ee-ya, try! Ee-ya, try!" He loves it when she holds his hand and he loves to show her what he's playing with.
