Baby Food Day!

Lately Carsten has been very interested in everything we eat. He grabs food off any plate he gets close enough to, stole my spoon out of my blizzard at Dairy Queen last week and keeps on trying to steal Tyler's sippy cups.

There's nothing in that cup, but he really wished there were.

So Saturday morning he tried rice cereal for the first time. It didn't seem like his first time. I'm not sure who's been feeding him, but he acted like he'd been eating from a spoon his whole life. Not that he didn't get messy. He is the king of getting messy. But he didn't act even a little surprised about the taste or the consistency, or the spoon. He just took a bite and immediately opened his mouth and leaned forward for more. He ate the whole bowl, and quickly! He was like a little bird opening his mouth and making little squawky noises between every bite. It was so cute.
