Sculpture Garden!

Sometimes Tyler gets an idea in his head and he just does not forget it. Last summer we went to the Sculpture Garden and Tyler has been asking when we could go again ever since. This summer just slipped away from us and we finally made a trip there a few weeks ago. A lot of the sculptures were gone - do they take them away for the winter? I don't know. But the important ones were still there and we had a lot of fun.

Aria enjoyed the sculptures from her stroller.

Tyler did this.

So obviously Carsten needed to do it too. :-)

And we had so much fun playing Hide-And-Seek in this one.

For a long time!

Livin' Life

I mean really.

He makes me laugh.

A morning of croquet.

A little last hurrah fall picnic.

We needed a family picture for Tyler to take to school and realized we didn't have one where Aria wasn't sleeping in her car seat or the Ergo. So here it is - our first family of five picture!

Riding the Choo-Choo at the mall while Tyler was at Preschool. We've been going to the play area more often lately since we don't have time to go home during school. Carsten calls the mall the zoo and he loves going there and seeing the train go by. He had been patiently waiting for the day he finally got to ride it!

A sweet date with this little man.

It was a fun afternoon of treats at Starbucks and time at the park.

And this girl just keeps on making me smile.

She is everywhere too! Crawling, standing and getting into everything!

Preschool!

Wait. What?! It's been three weeks and I still can't quite believe my baby is old enough to be in preschool. It's crazy! I was not looking forward to his first day. I just love having him home with me so much. And even though we really felt like it was the right choice for him, I regretted it as soon as we mailed in his registration. Because I knew that first day was going to come too soon! I know I sound so ridiculously sappy. But it's true!

He, on the other hand, was beyond excited. He could not wait! He's going three days a week and he was begging me to change my mind and let him go four.

It worked out well that it was also Carsten's first day back at Super Bible Club. Those were important pictures too. :-)

The tie was all him. He wears ties to all of his important events.

Not to be outdone by his brother!

He was so confident and excited for his first day. He stood a little closer and held my hand when we were waiting to drop him off, but he said goodbye and went right in.

This is after his first day. I told him to show me with his smile how much he loved his first day. This picture makes me laugh because he looks like it was not so great. But he loved it. He talked about nothing else for days. He still is always talking about school, his friends and all the things his teachers say.

Last week he even got to go on his first school bus ride for a field trip. They went to an apple orchard and Carl got to chaperon. They had so much fun!

Tyler asks every day if it's a school day. He can't wait to go back on Mondays. And he begs me to let him stay late for lunch bunch sometime. :-) My favorite part of preschool is the huge hugs and kisses I get when I drop him off everyday!

And Carsten loved his first day of Super Bible Club.

He loves having something to talk about when Tyler talks about preschool. He also got to start going to Awana this year and I'm so glad we decided to do that. He wants to be just like Tyler in everything he does and I'm really glad he has his own things to talk about. Lately whenever Tyler tells about anything he says, "Talk to me." Hello, second child. It's pretty cute. And I promise we really do ask him lots of questions and give him lots of chances to talk too. But Tyler has a lot to say and if Tyler talks, he wants to talk too!

Just Catching Up

We have had some fun adventures in the past month. So here are some pictures from a few of them.

A beautiful day at the zoo.

I took the boys to story time at Choo-Choo Bob's.

And we ended our morning with a stop at a little cupcake shop.

Do you notice the boys' pajamas? They've been wanting to mix and match and share their clothes lately. :-)

I really wonder what Aria is thinking sometimes when her brother's play with her.

A pile of siblings.

There was a fair in front of Carl's work a few weeks ago that we decided to check out.

Me and my doll.

The boys got to pick two rides.

They were so cute riding on this one together. Nonstop giggles!

I love it when Tyler "reads" to them. So sweet.

These two.

Eating with chopsticks!

My babies

Family Fun Fest!
Carsten got scared when his horse started moving and Carl ended up getting him off half way.

Tyler thought he was a cowboy and loved every second!

September?

Ok, so September is gone now! And we did a lot of fun things in September so I have a lot of catching up to do. But I'll start with some of Aria's 6 month pictures. She hardly gave a smile through the whole thing. Her pictures were at 4:30 and somehow she hadn't napped the whole day! She was exhausted but we managed to get some good ones anyway.
