I took the kids to Kansas for a week while Carl worked around our house to get it ready to sell. We've made lots of Kansas trips and they are always fun. But this one was by far their favorite. They will never forget that week. They could've stayed there forever!
From playing at the neighborhood park, to riding a train in Wamego, to playing in the pool, to going to the zoo and visiting a ranch, they were always excited and never bored.
The boys love climbing trees so this just made their day.
A girl and her baby.
Somehow I didn't get a picture of the train. Probably because I was on it. But this park has a fun little train the drives all around it and the kids loved it! The rest of the park was fun too.
They swam in the pool constantly. Every chance they got.
They also got to visit their first ranch!
They loved this day! The animals made them nervous at first, but they got over it and it wasn't long before they were riding and brushing ponies, petting sheep and following pigs around!
Who knew how much fun a giant alligator could add to a kids pool?
The kids always love going to Papa Joe and Grandma Ronni's zoo. We go to the zoo here a lot, but there's something about going to one with Grandma and Grandpa that they love.
The weather was great, so we were outside constantly. Another fun park and splash pad!
Can we do this trip with Orange Leaf? No, we cannot.
Our kids haven't really been on a big vacation. It's either Kansas or camping. But they don't care. They think Kansas is the most amazing place in the world. :-)
