Quick Getaway

Two weeks ago my parents were going to spend some time in Iowa and decided to come a little further so we could all meet them in Rochester for the weekend. It was so much fun and we were so glad it worked out. Even better, we were able to get our upstairs painted while I was there with the kids. I spent my first solo night in a hotel with three kids on Friday and then Carl joined us there Saturday. The hotel we stayed at was perfect for kids It had a regular pool and also a kids pool with fountains and a water slide. It was so great for a weekend where our only plans were to be at the hotel. We spent hours at the pool and the kids had so much fun.

Since our house was being painted Friday morning we had to get out of the house right away. But we couldn't check in until the afternoon so we went to an indoor playground for the morning.

We spent a lot of time in the block room. Tyler made a hose and was filling the bin with water.

You just can't ask for more in a hotel pool. Balls, fountains, slides and swimming.

Water baby! So happy to be swimming.

Action shot!

They had so much fun sliding together.

Three little leprechauns all in a row.

She swam instead of taking naps, and she barely slept Friday night, but you couldn't tell. Water is her happy place.

Pizza in the hotel room!

When we got home the first thing Tyler did was set up his new Play mobile set and build the Lego airplane he got at the hotel for his birthday.

It was a great weekend with family and it ended with a newly painted house to welcome us back. So fun. :-)
