Aria, not so much. I feel bad saying it was funny because she was miserable, but it really was pretty funny. I have never seen the faces she was making before! She acted like we were torturing her. And putting the spoon up to her mouth actually brought tears to her eyes and made her lip quiver. Apparently giving her real food is pretty much the meanest thing we could have done to her. Sorry sweet girl. :-)
Happy to be sitting at the table!
She has no idea what is about to happen.
First bite!
Wait. What is this?!
What are you doing to me?
I do not like this.
Is it over yet?
We tried again the next night with similar results so we took a break for a week. Tonight we tried again and it didn't make her cry, so that was a win. She was so funny about it. She just kept staring at the spoon with her mouth tightly closed. And when she did eventually take a bite she would just hold her mouth open and let it sit there. She didn't push it back out. She just sat there with her mouth open until eventually she had to swallow. For every single bite. It was too cute. :-)
The boys were very excited for Aria to get her own place at the table. They were also pretty excited that they got to move to new spots at the table!
Tyler moved across the table.
And Carsten moved over a spot and out of his booster seat!
It's the little things. :-)
